Dallas, Senior Project Manager – Alpha Building Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager (PM) in our Dallas/Forth Worth office. The Senior PM provides operational management and oversight of project managers and all project activities that occur in the associated geographic area.

Duties
Typical duties include providing leadership by word and example, coordinating staff and supervising all construction activities, supporting client needs and meeting the company quality construction, safety and financial goals. He or she will report the status of their office to the corporate office and will be held responsible for the financial health of all assigned contracts. Monitoring and maintaining working relationships with the client, client personnel, internal staff, subcontractors and local suppliers is a must. The Senior PM should ensure projects are performed to contract specifications by participating, directing and overseeing all staff functions, monitoring project costs and local costs of materials, labor and rentals to ensure competitive pricing; utilize the Unit Price Book and Cost Analysis as needed; provide support for the development of proposals, estimates, coordination and qualification of bids and monitor project performance and design schedules. As required, he or she will need to establish initial lines of communication and project goals with the client; perform all duties necessary to receive, price and perform construction projects and develop subcontractor and supplier contract and credit relationships.

This position is centered around client relationship management and communication of overall project status. The Senior PM will attend required company training, enforce the Employee Information Handbook, Safety and Quality Control Program and the company’s standard operating procedures. Safety is a priority at Alpha Building Corporation and the Senior PM should help their team meet all safety standards. He or she should not only enforce, but promote the Alpha safety program, network, train, communicate lessons learned and manage any project issues in the field.

Experience

Dallas/Fort Worth, Project Manager – Alpha Building Corporation is seeking a Project Manager (PM) at our Dallas/Fort Worth office. The PM provides overall direction and management of the contracts he or she is assigned. Within the constraints of good business practices and ethics he or she is authorized to act autonomously in the selection and use of Alpha resources to complete the contract. The project manager will establish project objectives and policies, maintain liaison with client contracts and monitor/supervise construction and financial activities. The PM will participate in all work activities as needed and foster a team environment at there office.

Duties
Typical duties include monitoring and directing construction through administrative supervision of on-site superintendent(s) and other construction project employees. The PM will perform the leadership role of the management team and provide support where needed to facilitate a good work environment for employees. He or she will oversee key subcontractors, consultants and vendors to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget, investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures as required. He or she will enforce expenditure controls with the aid of established management information systems that provide data on individual project status and ensure company resources are being properly utilized while maintaining client expectations.

The PM will interface with department representatives, construction officials, architects, engineers and consultants to establish project requirements, specifications and schedules. He or she will serve as the point of contact between our client and contractors and ensure that all projects are completed in a timely, quality manner; achieving the project goals and specification requirements. The PM will solicit, prepare and evaluate bid documents and review contracts to ensure complete scope coverage, seek clarification or identification of unknown aspects and coordinate the development and approval of architectural and engineering construction drawings. The Superintendent will assist in preparation of the work plan and how the work is to be organized, coordinated, executed and completed. The Superintendent will be expected to prepare daily reports, capture project information using computer software, direct and coordinate near term planning with the subcontractors and provide a two-week look ahead schedule. He or she will approve subcontractor monthly invoices, materials and equipment; review and approve submittals to ensure they meet the specifications in the project documents and monitor project safety requirements and documentation. Additional duties include ensuring subcontractors are working with the proper tools, materials and manpower. He or she will monitor for quality construction and perform scheduled, unscheduled, pre-final and final inspections for all delivery orders. The Superintendent will oversee the correction of deficiencies and punch list items as necessary.
